Mort Dana, the firm's principal, has more than 20 years of varied experiences both in public accounting and industry.
After graduating from University of Southern California (USC) with an MBA degree, Mort started his carrier in the audit division of the international accounting firm of Coopers & Lybrand (now Price Waterhouse Coopers) in Los Angeles. He also worked in a small CPA firm in Century City, where he gained extensive experience in taxation.
After getting his California CPA certificate, Mort joined Allied-Signal Aerospace Corporation (now a part of Honeywell Corporation) as a senior corporate auditor. He moved up the corporate ladder to the position of accounting manager of a power plant division and then the controller of a manufacturing division of the company in Torrance, California.
After almost 10 years with Allied-Signal Aerospace, Mort left the company to set-up his own CPA firm of Dana & Associates. The firm has been in existence now for almost 14 years.
Mort has thought accounting and management course at California State University, Dominguez Hills and at National University. He is also a licensed Real Estate Broker and a licensed Investment Advisor.
Mort has a well rounded experience and knowledge to help his clients in areas of Federal and State taxes, business planning, business and personal financial management, creative problem solving and strategic planning. He is capable of looking at the "big picture" and provide customized solutions to help his clients to mange their business for profit
and growth.
